20 Weirdest Licensed Video Games EVER
12. Aqua Teen Hunger Force: Zombie Ninja Pro-Am
For the uninitiated, Aqua Teen Hunger Force was one of Adult Smith's flagship shows that helped establish the off-beat sensibilities of Cartoon Network's late-night programming block. There simply isn't time here to delve into what the show is about but all you need to know is that it starred sentient fast-food products and it was truly, deeply strange.
Adapting such a surreal sitcom into a video game seems virtually impossible on paper so the decision to take the characters and place them into a Frankenstein's monster of a game that features golf, kart racing and levels ripped-off of Mortal Kombat feels strangely appropriate.
And yes, the tonal whiplash between those three core ideas is every bit as jarring as it sounds.
Unfortunately though, it's not a very good game, and there's a high chance that's on purpose, but each of the different gameplay styles feels undercooked with the focus being on keeping the show's unique brand of surrealist dark humour in-tact. Unless you're a fan of the show there'll be very little here to entice you - if you are a fan however, it's absolutely worth seeking out just for the jokes.
