If you understandably assumed that Moss' Quill would be the new face of PSVR, you'd be forgiven for not counting on Astro Bot to barge Quill out of the way and steal the honours.

Everything you've heard about Astro Bot Rescue Mission being "the Mario 64 moment for PSVR" is absolutely true, and it's in large part due to the charmingly simple design of the title character.

The brilliantly tactile VR environments heighten the bond between player and character immeasurably, and it sure doesn't hurt that you can literally fling Astro Bot onto your screen for an up-close VR look.

He's insanely cute, he's super resourceful and he just wants to round up all of his friends. How could you not give your heart to this glorious creation?
