19. Heavy Rain
Speaking of titles that feature brilliant stories to immerse yourself in, David Cage's film noir-inspired murder mystery is the only one of his titles to not go completely off the deep end when it comes to providing a conclusion.
Playing as four individuals all involved to varying degrees in the case of the Origami Killer, Cage includes a ton of ancillary actions such as taking a shower, eating a meal, pondering on a given character's thoughts etc. to let you get fully immersed. A novel approach, sure, but Heavy Rain helped proliferate the idea of applying quick-time events to all sorts of animations, all for the sake of losing yourself in a given narrative.
As a result, when all the story threads start to converge, what Quantic Dream managed to concoct is incredibly memorable, and with a number of optional endings, there's huge replay value in just seeing what else you can uncover.
