By far one of the year's most anticipated video games, God of War hopes to take the acclaimed action-adventure franchise in a new direction with a nifty Norse setting, a greater emphasis on exploration, and a new over-the-shoulder camera and combat system.

What's been shown off so far looks nothing short of gorgeous and is sure to push the PS4 to its technical limit, serving up the brutal, gore-soaked action long-time fans crave, while ambitiously hoping to expand the series' mechanical and emotional scope.

There's virtually no chance this is anything less than a great game, and honestly, if its not an instant Game of the Year contender, it'd be a huge shock.
