2. Dead Space
Main Character: Isaac Clarke
Star: Jake Gyllenhaal
Why he should star: Firstly; he does look the part. But also Gyllenhaals wide array of acting portrayals shows a perfect range to take on this horror/sci-fi/mental disfiguration series. The more detached Isaac Clarke of the first Dead Space could fit easily in to his Donnie Darko performance whilst the man broken and dealing with mental anguish in Dead Space 2 would be a brilliant new edge to best show the emotionally crackling edge to the game. Furthermore he does have the physicality and screen presence to pull off the idea that if he was trapped in a surprise, horrific multi-limbed alien attack he could survive. Furthermore he can approach the fact that Clarke is unaware of the circumstances that he is in very much like he did in Source Code, bringing the confusion and desperation to really strengthen how a movie audience connects with the character when they arent playing through his perspective.
