5 Comic Book Heroes Who Would Benefit from the Arkham City Treatment

3. The Original 5 X-Men (Cyclops, Jean Grey, Iceman, Beast, Angel)

What It Could Be: Two words: Danger Room. Having this group all as playable characters can lead to some pretty awesome strategic endeavors, as they each obviously have their specific powers. But instead of playing the characters all radically interchangeably like in X-Men Legends, I think it'd be interesting to have a free-roaming 1960s game, where you pick one of the 5 mutants and roam around the Xavier Institute, while being given missions outside the school to protect mankind. Sort of like a canonical version of X-Men: First Class, it'd be fantastic to check out major battles in the Danger Room, duke it out with Magneto, and throw in a co-op mode where you can perform missions with a friend. Think Donkey Kong 64 mixed with Ultimate Spider-Man, and I would go so far as to say you'd have quite a hit on your hands, especially if it were a period piece.

Cameron Carpenter is an aspiring screenwriter, current film and journalism student, and self-diagnosed cinephile, which only sounds bad in certain circles. Devoted fan of comics, movies, theater, Jesus Christ, Sidney Lumet, and Peter O'Toole, he sometimes spends too much time on his Scribd and comicbookmovie.com, but doesn't think you're one to judge, devoted reader. You can follow him on Twitter to watch him talk to people you didn't know exist. Oh, and Daredevil is quite the big deal around here (my head).
