5 Lessons The AEW Video Game Can Learn From Previous Wrestling Games
2. The Customisation Capabilities Are Key
One of the greatest pleasures in wrestling games is being able to create your own wrestler and place them into your favourite wrestling company. That way, you get to live out the fantasy you've always had of Swanton Bombing Brock Lesnar through a commentary table from the relative safety of your own home. It's always been great being able to do this in the WWE games.
Pair this with the other creative modes that have popped up in the series like creating Entrances, Move Sets, Arenas, Championship Titles, Finishing Moves and even Stories at one point and you have a nice platform for being creative.
The only real downside to the WWE creation suite is that it has grown a bit stale. It uses the same assets every year so despite there being a lot of choice, it's a lot of choices we've already made. With the focus on having something for everyone shown by AEW it would be great to see a deep and varied creation suite to suit all kinds of players.
