Mass Effect 3's day one DLC wasn't terribly well received news when you first popped your disc in hoping to continue the adventures of your chosen Shep, but regardless of whether it was the case, it felt like you had paid for a pie with one slice missing. An entire crew member was not in the game and to get him, you to shell out some more cash. Javik was an ancient Promethean, the only survivor of his species, and his presence was felt throughout the game. Provided you bought him. What's more, it came out that the DLC entitled From Ashes was actually on the disc. Bioware came back saying that only certain aspects of the initial framework were on-disc and that From Ashes was due to be a DLC for a later date. Now, we fall back on the argument that many have expressed, saying that developers have to ship games early and that some content is sometimes still be worked on, and that was the same case with From Ashes. I totally get that, but I believe that if any content to do with the game is available on day one, then it should be given to the player. A simple update or free download and you have it.
