The soundtrack is out of nowhere a complete gem for synthwave fans, and a neat Dark Souls-ian twist means if you die, you must journey back that spot and fight a version of yourself to get your gear back, adding another wrinkle to how this all feels to play.
Seriously, sometimes all you need for an entry in the genre is charm, confidence and reliability. Giving this Hollywood-level IP to a smaller indie studio paid dividends.
