Now this one may have you scratching your head and thinking, "But multiplayer isn't a mod, it's an added feature?", and sometimes you'd be right. There are times when co-op/competitive gameplay is announced or planned as an additional feature down the line.

But not with Just Cause 2, the unquestionably better follow up to the lukewarm sequel. Whilst the single player component is enough for JC2 to thrive on, some PC players didn't think that was sufficient. So they took it upon themselves to add a multiplayer, and that's where it gets chaotic.

Doing away with the story and just leaving the island to explore, as well as having all unlockables available, it leaves essentially a free roam mode for up to forty players on screen at any one time.
