7 Reasons Why Xbox One X Is Better Than PS4 Pro

The PS4 Pro doesn't stand a chance.

At this year's E3, Microsoft finally revealed the newest version of their Xbox One. Toting it as the most powerful console available on the market, and after an impressive reveal, the Xbox One X looks to be in a position to back up Microsoft's claims.

The company's biggest competition is of course, Sony, who also have a high-end version of their flagship console out there to contend with - the PS4 Pro. Sony's system has proven massively popular, and similarly boasts increased storage, 4K resolution, and several other features in line with what you would expect from a console at the bleeding edge of gaming hardware today.

That said, it appears Sony have been outdone by their competition.

Sony have made steps to counter this of course, immediately announcing a price reduction for the PS4 Pro after the Xbox One X breakdown, however, there are still many aspects of Microsoft's console that prove it worthy of investment.

So, whether you're looking to upgrade your current Xbox or jump ship to a new system altogether, here are all the major areas where the Xbox One X outdoes the PS4 Pro.

7. CPU & GPU Comparisons

Both the Xbox One X and PS4 Pro will be running on a set of 8 CPU cores, with the Xbox One X running on a custom set clocked at 2.3GHz, while the PS4 Pro runs an AMD "Jaguar" set at 2.1GHz. This isn't massive in terms of CPU cores, but that 0.2GHz can make a difference to the speed of the console, with the potential to increase the system's speed by up to 20% over its competitor.

In terms of GPU specs, the Xbox One X boasts a custom AMD setup running at 6 teraflops, with the PS4 Pro running at 4.2, also on an AMD set.

Much like with the console's CPU core specs, in laymans terms, this helps the Xbox One X run faster than the PS4 Pro.
