7 Secrets Hidden In Video Game Demos
2. The Entire Game?! - Yakuza 6 Demo
We begin this list with a total gaffe on the behalf of SEGA, who were clearly so keen to get their latest entry in the Yakuza franchise out in front of the masses, that they forgot one teeny-tiny thing.
They forgot that a demo is meant to lock progression off or end after a certain amount of time! Eyebrows were raised immediately when the supposed "demo" dropped with a 35GB install size, but many simply assumed that if this was the full game then a code would unlock the rest of the content on release day should they purchase it.
Wrong!
This "Demo" was the entire game! Players were shocked to find that after the opening act they could just carry on the adventure. SEGA was obviously quick to push out a patch locking it down, but as was revealed, if you didn't accept the patch, you got Yakuza 6 for free!
No codes, no hacking, just a free game. As long as you kept it a secret from SEGA, that is.
