7 Star Trek Games That Deserve HD Remasters

7. The Fallen

Star Trek The Fallen One of the major plot elements of Deep Space 9 was the race of aliens known the Prophets, who lived in a wormhole near the titular space station. One part of their story arc involved an evil faction of these aliens, known as the Pah-wraiths, who were kicked out the wormhole thousands of years before the show started. The Fallen, set late in DS9's sixth season, focused on an attempt to bring the Pah-wraiths back. The best way to think of The Fallen is a more competent version of this year's Star Trek: The Video Game. Both are third person shooters with lots of interactive elements and a tricorder that performs important gameplay functions, but The Fallen benefits from stronger execution of the gameplay. It suffers from an odd story structure (three separate character campaigns that have to be played to get the entire story) and a lesser amount of combat for those looking for action. But its main strength is its single-player only nature; in an era where everything seems to have a multiplayer component (even if it's not necessary), it's ironic that at release, the game was criticized for not having multiplayer.
