1. Gotham Knights

With Rocksteady officially moving over to the Suicide Squad, it has left a Batman-sized hole in many a gamer's hearts. Luckily, WB Interactive Montreal is here to remedy that with an enticing shake-up of the Arkham series.

Montreal is no stranger to the franchise, having made the criminally overlooked Arkham: Origins title, as well as Arkham Knight's flavourful DLC story additions. It seems in Rocksteady's absence, they are finally allowed to bring some of their own fresh ideas to the table.

Firstly, Batman is dead(!!!), but taking care of Gotham in his stead are his protegees: Nightwing, Batgirl, Robin, and Red Hood. Each of these characters is playable, both solo and in co-op.

As highly regarded as the Arkham series is, it was apparent by the latest entry, the formula was growing rusty and would need a fresh coat of paint if continued...this appears to be just that.

With the brief DLC snippets in former games, that allowed us to play as the Knights, they felt like refreshing and enjoyable twists on the Batman gameplay pattern, allowing us that choice for a full game, feels like a great option.

Plus, playing an Arkham game in co-op, sounds really really fun...
