7 Upcoming PS4 Exclusives That Could Beat God Of War

Spider-Man is a huge, fan-favourite character but it's been a while since any game has really done him justice. With Rocksteady's amazing Arkham series looking pretty much wrapped up for now, it's time for a new superhero to take the gaming limelight and who better than Spidey?

There's an awful lot to be excited about here. At the helm is Insomniac, a PlayStation veteran studio behind the likes of Spyro, Ratchet & Clank and, perhaps most importantly, the Microsoft-exclusive Sunset Overdrive. Sunset Overdrive is important here because the entire game was built around a fast-paced, unique movement system that allowed you to get around a city with speed and skill - something likely to be replicated in Spider-Man. Insomniac has proven they can do unique movement styles, so Spider-Man looks to be in good hands.

Not only that, but this film is not a movie tie-in - it's a completely new and standalone story. That means Insomniac has free reign to do whatever they want and we're seeing that already with the introduction of some more obscure villains like Mr. Negative. Here's hoping this is the Spider-Man game the wallcrawler deserves.
