1. The Last of Us Part II
Perhaps the biggest game of the system still yet to release, The Last of Us Part II could be developer Naughty Dog's swansong to the PS4. Following The Last of Us, one of the most critically adored games of all time, was always going to be a hard act to live up to. Not only that, Naughty Dog have already released a critical masterpiece this generation in Uncharted 4: A Thief's End. The pressure is on.
Announced at the PlayStation Experience event in 2016, very little is known about the game. Thankfully it's going to be the focal point of a 'deep dive' look at E3 this year. We know that time has moved on since the first game and the world still seems as twisted as before. Graphically, the game looks to be a mind-blowing success - but of course we won't know for sure until we see gameplay.
The Last of Us was heralded as one of, if not the best game of the entire last generation. Whether or not Naughty Dog can replicate the same success is yet to be seen - God of War is a juggernaut, and some of the games on this list pose big threats.
