2. Death Stranding
Death Stranding is a long time coming - ever since Hideo Kojima was unceremoniously treated by Konami and then made a dramatic return to public life at Sony's 2016 E3 conference, gamers have known about Death Stranding. Perhaps one of the most high profile titles ever where we still know practically nothing about it, gamers are positively salivating for more.
Luckily, Death Stranding is one of the four big name titles receiving a 'deep dive' look at this year's E3. There are a number of massive names working on the title - Guillermo del Toro, Mads Mikkelsen and Norman Reedus are all involved. Not only that, but Guerrilla Games are also collaborating and the game is using Horizon: Zero Dawn's jaw-dropping Decima engine. Almost nothing has been revealed about the title save for a couple of maddeningly cryptic trailers involving teleporting babies, dead whales and floating people. Yeah, it's weird.
Kojima's triumphant return has been well-documented - and now people are hoping the game lives up to expectations. With the Metal Gear franchise as his pedigree, it seems so far that expectations are rightly high.
