8 Amazing Video Game Sequels Not Made By The Original Developers
4. Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance
Now, like Prey, a lot of you might not be thinking that this game can actually be considered a sequel, but know that Kojima himself declared it to be canon, meaning it definitely counts for this list.
Revengeance is quite possibly the most Platinum Games game Platinum Games ever made. It’s over the top, full to the brim with cheese, but most importantly, it’s a thing of visual beauty, with action spectacle that's utterly outstanding.
Taking control of everyone's least favourite Metal Gear hero, now complete with cybernetic augmentations, Raiden slashes through mechs, foes and fruit alike in a game that never slows down. It’s basically an inversion of the regular Metal Gear stealth formula, which is a genius way to approach any spin-off.
Don’t get me wrong, both sides of the coin are equally amazing, but for the first time ever, insane boss fights and catchphrases matched a combat model that was just as ridiculous.
