8 Disney Worlds For Kingdom Hearts III Which Would Be Far Better Than Toy Story

Thanks to footage of an unused pirate ship titled “tp” in Dream Drop Distance, it appears that fans are not the only ones who have toyed with the idea of a Treasure Planet world for Sora and friends to venture to.

Yet, just because there were plans in the past, it does not mean that Nomura and Square Enix have any lingering desire to make a Treasure Planet world a reality. But, seeing as we were so close to having it, its absence in Kingdom Hearts III would be incredibly soul-crushing because it’s a movie Square Enix could go completely nuts with.

Not only would being on a pirate ship in space be more visually breath-taking than having to safely cross the street as a toy, but Treasure Planet’s universe is something Square Enix could easily make sense of for why the Heartless and Organisation XIII so desperately want to take over it.

In Treasure Planet, there is an enormous doorway which allows people to instantly travel between two distant locations, and finding this would allow the Heartless, Organisation XIII, and even Sora to traverse to some new dark place that they haven’t been able to pinpoint.

Plus, with the portal being controlled by the map Jim Hawkins has in his baggy pockets, it’d make sense for the bad guys to want to eliminate him, a change to the usual formula where the Disney sidekicks are mostly just there and don’t have any real involvement in the bigger picture.
