Now technically this one is cheating a little bit because this comment actually came from our own video editor Oasley, but he’s picked an absolute corker.

I never had the opportunity to play the officially licenced Futurama game but maybe I should, as any title that kicks out a fake out game over screen in the first FIVE MINUTES has got it’s tongue so far in cheek, it’s licking its neighbour's molars.

So the loveable goof Fry is tasked with fetching a hammer, and finds one at the bottom of a stack of comically heavy rubbish. After pulling out the hammer the pile falls on him, and the player is treated to a game over.

Is that it, you ask? Well, GOOD NEWS EVERYONE, Fry is alive and well, and this was actually a scripted part of the game.

Fry even speaks about his time in the great beyond as being all dark then a bright light reading “game over”. Now that’s deep yo. And Thanks Oase for sharing this gem!
