8 Game Overs That Made You Say "WHAT?!"

I don't think I can make a list of Game Overs that left you utterly slack-jawed without including this, as while it's been a moment memed to oblivion so much that it's become Morrowind, the Giant Launcher death in Skyrim still remains one of the funniest and most unbelievable moments in gaming history.

I actively remember my first "kissing the sky" experience. I'd made an Orc character known as "Grubby" who wasn't all that fussed about stopping the end of the world and just wanted to live it up as best he could before the fiery apocalypse.

So far his adventures had taken him into dark, dank burrows where he found horrible beasts, dusty vampiric tombs, and even into the Thieves Guild where he'd learned to "borrow" like a pro.

All of this adventuring and purse snatching had led him to acquire a fair bit of wealth, and now decked out in some resplending armour and riding atop his noble steed "Big Barry" he set his sights on the horizon and said, "Are you ready for me world?"

Turns out yes, yes it was ready for him as not two minutes later I'd come across a Giant encampment and been launched into the sky like I was a carnival attraction going toe to toe with Brock !*$% Lesnar. "What?" doesn't even begin to describe it.
