8 Great Video Games Remembered For ONE Thing
1. That Disastrous Launch - Cyberpunk 2077
No matter how great Cyberpunk 2077 might be now, it will forever remain a monument to that one simple truth - no developer, no matter how brilliant they are, is capable of doing no wrong.
Cyberpunk of course infamously launched in a wildly broken state, especially on consoles, to the extent that the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One versions of the game were genuinely close to unplayable.
The abundance of bugs left large swaths of the fanbase irate that the game was clearly shipped before it was ready, enough that class-action lawsuits were even filed against developer CD Projekt Red.
Though they offered refunds to aggrieved players, Sony reacted by straight-up removing the game for sale from the PlayStation Store for roughly six months until the issues were substantially rectified.
And while Cyberpunk has now been in a polished state for many years, its shambolic launch continues to be a front-and-center part of its legacy.
Considering how much effort it took for CD Projekt Red to win fans back on side, they'll presumably do everything in their power to avoid repeating this with the in-development sequel.
