3. Escape The Locker Room In MyRise
For the past two years, 2K Games have looked out for single-player gamers with MyRise - a story-focused mode that allows the player to guide a custom-built superstar to fame and fortune in the WWE. (2K Games deserve extra kudos for creating two entirely different storylines for male and female superstars).
Last year's entry was an enjoyable diversion, particularly on the men's side - who knew WWE were self-aware enough to craft a storyline about a promising independent wrestler coming into the WWE and being stripped of everything that made him interesting?
However, there was one notable aggravation - the total lack of ability to explore the world outside of the locker room.
Not being able to escape the confines of the locker room was hugely frustrating, and it's something 2K Games should have fixed this year. While it's unlikely WWE2K24 will offer anything on par with Street Fighter 6's exemplary World Tour mode (essentially the answer to the question "What if Like A Dragon had a baby with Street Fighter?"), this year's MyRise should at least liberate the player from last year's locker room prison and let them explore the entire arena for sidequests, collectables and other characters.
