8 Indie Game Characters We’d Love To See In Super Smash Bros
2. The Knight (Hollow Knight)
The Knight is a perfect example that the phrase "size isn't everything" rings true. Hollow Knight is a game that puts you at a real disadvantage, as you're a smaller hero going up against some big enemies, and it's no easy feat. But, the protagonist pushes through with his trusty Nail and proves to be an incredibly formidable opponent. Other Smash characters might look down on him, but we all know you shouldn't judge a book by its cover.
There's a lusciously gothic art style to Hollow Knight that's mesmerising to look at, and the Knight himself continues this. Seeing him make the jump into 3D would be amazing, as his simple design could look fantastic on a model with an extra dimension. Plus, his attacks in the original title range from simple to complex, and that's something that would translate well to Smash.
He's got plenty of fans and an outstanding reputation for being one of the most recognisable indie gaming characters of the past decade, so putting him into the game is hardly going to attract any debate.
