8 Nintendo Franchises That Need To Come To The Switch
3. Super Smash Bros
Whilst it has only been a mere two and a half years since the release of Super Smash Bros. for Nintendo 3DS and Wii U, it feels like Nintendo have nothing to lose from releasing another one for the Switch.
Many people buy the latest Nintendo console just to play the latest instalment of this incredibly popular franchise, with its hugely successful eSports scene and effortless multiplayer fun cementing it in the upper echelons of fighting games.
Nintendo's expanding relationship with third-party developers could also lead to a host of new characters coming to the Switch instalment of Smash Bros, and they haven't even used their full roster yet! From Ridley to Sora and a whole new generation of Pokemon to play with, it wouldn't be too much of a struggle to fill a new game with exciting characters.
The similarities in control scheme to the Wii U means that we know it's capable of pulling it off, with the portability only allowing for a more accessible gaming experience.
Any chance to simplify a Super Smash Bros. party with your friends would be a winning ticket for Nintendo, and really corner the couch co-op scene that the other consoles sorely lack.
