8 Nintendo Video Game Movies We NEED To See

Pokémon is one of the few video game franchises that has proved that it works in movie form. Detective Pikachu is the obvious example but then there's some of the anime films like Pokémon 3: The Movie and Pokémon Heroes which are pretty good.

So let's make a Pokémon movie trilogy epic that focuses on a young trainer travelling across an entire region with their pals and 'Mons by their side. Think The Lord of the Rings but with Pokémon.

The trilogy could start off with them wanting to beat the gym leaders and the elite four before it transforms into something darker involving legendaries and an evil team who want to destroy the world.

Of course, there are other things that could be done with a Pokémon film, and the franchise is popular enough to allow for experimentation without much risk of the movie not doing well financially.

It could be a heist movie about Team Rocket stealing Pokémon, an intense courtroom drama about a group of people trying to make Pokémon battles illegal, or a horror film about a group of teens stuck in a house filled with ghost Pokémon.

Why stop at just a detective film and some films based on the anime?
