8 Nintendo Video Game Movies We NEED To See

If you were to make a Metroid film the formula from the games would have to be changed slightly.

Samus couldn't really be alone for the majority of the movie. Yeah, with the right people working on it a film like that could work, but what's more likely to be good is something that follows a more traditional horror formula.

Samus ventures into alien territory with a group of Galactic Federation Soldiers who are all slowly killed throughout the movie with Samus being the only survivor in the final act. Think Alien.

By doing this, Samus would have people to talk to which would help develop her as a character, and by killing off a bunch of other trained professionals it would highlight the threat of the enemy whilst showing the audience how badass Samus is.

A Metroid film would probably have to tell its own story because of this, or the movie could tell a version of a story from one of the games. Just an alternate version where Samus didn't face evil alone.
