8 Things We Learned From The New Pokémon Sun/Moon Trailer

1. No New Eeveelutions

The good news for Eevee fans - of which there are many - is that the genetically malleable 'mon is definitely available to catch in Pokémon Sun and Moon. The bad news, is that it will not be subject to any new evolutions in this instalment.

A snippet in the trailer depicts an Eevee being captured, and the Pokéballs which surround the success screen - each representing available evolutions/forms of the seized creature - number only eight. A quick check of the fingers, and that comes out as one for every currently available 'Eeveelution'.

It's a shame, though it is in keeping with the franchise's trend of only introducing new evolutions for previous Pokémon in every other generation (if X and Y's mega-evolutions count under that banner).

Maybe next time, eh? Personally, I'd love to see a fighting type Eevee: Miketyseon.

Benjamin was born in 1987, and is still not dead. He variously enjoys classical music, old-school adventure games (they're not dead), and walks on the beach (albeit short - asthma, you know). He's currently trying to compile a comprehensive history of video game music, yet denies accusations that he purposefully targets niche audiences. He's often wrong about these things.
