8 Things We Learned From The New Pokémon Sun/Moon Trailer

2. A Greater Choice Of Player Avatar?

Pokemon Sun Moon Feature
Nintendo

Whilst Pokémon X and Y did finally offer the player different skin tone options, the available choices were limited, to say the least. A choice of just three separate hues would have been almost acceptable ten years ago, but it barely passes muster now. It's high time Nintendo addressed this glaringly persistent flaw.

So are Sun and Moon about to change things? Based on the screenshot above, the answer is: probably not. Though it's impossible to say for certain, based on the scant footage we have seen so far, there are to be no physiognomies we haven't previously seen in the past 3DS efforts.

Come on, Nintendo: there are absolutely no excuses to cointnue denying players a more varied and inclusive set of customisation options.

Benjamin was born in 1987, and is still not dead. He variously enjoys classical music, old-school adventure games (they're not dead), and walks on the beach (albeit short - asthma, you know). He's currently trying to compile a comprehensive history of video game music, yet denies accusations that he purposefully targets niche audiences. He's often wrong about these things.
