As amazing as it looks, the Resident Evil 2 remake can't be the only Resident Evil game in development.
The massive success of Resident Evil 7 means that a new first person horror-fest is sure to be on the way sometime soon.
You have to consider that the Resident Evil series was in a very troubled placed before Resident Evil 7 was released. Everyone had practically given up hope on the franchise, but the genuine scariness of the latest game reintroduced the series in a big way.
With all that success, why wouldn't Capcom want to make another great game just like it, but bigger and better?
The Resident Evil 2 Remake was in development even before Resident Evil 7 was released, which means that it's totally plausible that a new game is in development right now.
It might not be revealed for some time, but let's hope that Capcom give us some hint that it's on the way so we can get scared all over again.
