4. Dracula - Castlevania: Symphony Of The Night

So when you think of Castlevania, outside of kinky whips and enough garlic to make a kiss on a first date a distant dream, you likely think of the big bad running the show. The castle and finger-flipping Lord Of The Night Dracula, who usually serves as the final fanged foe you encounter in every Castlevania game, and as such is usually an absolute arse to defeat.

Utilizing all of his unholy powers, all of his heretical magics, and sometimes even the very castle against you, nearly every encounter with Dracula is a tense battle of skill and timing, and yet, thanks to the opening battle with this Coffin King in Symphony Of The Night, is actually a battle you cannot lose even if you try.

I say this because the opening sections of the game that pit you against Dracula actually play out as a flashback, meaning that the events showcased have already come to pass and therefore there's no way you can lose against him in this scripted battle.

Even if you actively let Drac open a bottle of your neck wine, Maria will appear to cast spells on you that make Richter completely invincible, somewhat taking the tension out of what is usually a pretty dramatic showdown between the Belmonts and the !*$%.

Sure, you should try to win the fight quickly as the damage you take affects the starting stats for Alucard, but still, this is a fight you literally cannot lose so take your time and knock Dracula's fangs out one by one.
