8 Video Game Bosses That Subtly Told You How To Beat Them

As with Far Cry 4, Far Cry 5 also contains a secret ending hidden right at the start of the game. And just like its predecessor, this ending is something that the boss - in this case, cult leader Joseph Seed - slyly tries to push you towards.

The game begins with your character marching down to an Eden's Gate church, with the intent of cuffing the deranged Mr. Seed and carting him away to answer for his crimes. The game prompts you to push a button to arrest him, and you've no reason not to heed this prompt, since it's clear that Joseph and his people are absolute nutters who need to be stopped.

Alternatively, you can listen to Seed's dialogue, which subtly hints at a secret ending in exactly the same way that Pagan Min's line does in the previous game.

While that arrest prompt is onscreen, the villain will say "put down your guns, take your friends, and walk away", which, in the moment, sounds like a normal bit of dialogue for someone in his position - and for someone with his arrogance - to say.

But really, he's telling you a much faster way to complete the game. Ignore the arrest prompt and wait for a little while, and your posse will leave the church before the credits start to roll, saving the lives of countless animals in Hope County that you would otherwise have hunted down and skinned.

He has been writing and video editing for 10+ years, and first got a taste for content creation after making his own Doctor Who trailers and uploading them to YouTube (they're admittedly a bit rusty by today's standards). If you need someone to recite every Doctor Who episode in order or to tell you about the making of 1988's Remembrance of the Daleks, Danny is the person to ask.
