8 Video Game Bosses That Subtly Told You How To Beat Them

3. Pagan Min (Far Cry 4)

Far Cry 4 has you playing as Ajay Ghale, a son who travels to his home country of Kyrat to put his mother's ashes to rest. Sounds straightforward - but this noble mission hits a blockade immediately, when Ajay is taken prisoner by crazy dictator Pagan Min.

From the off, Min establishes himself as a nasty piece of work. He brutally kills one of his own men and has a little taste of Ajay's mother's ashes, and so, when you arrive at his mansion at the start of the game and he tells you to "stay right here", the last thing you'll want to do is hang around. Instead, you'll want to escape and progress with the rest of the game, seizing your window to escape Min's clutches.

But as it turns out, Min's request for you to stay in your seat was actually him cluing you in on how to beat the game in record time. If you do as he asks, he'll return a short while later and thank you for waiting, before taking you to place your mother's ashes. He'll talk a little bit about his history, clamber into a helicopter, and the credits will roll.

So, if you're patient, you can beat Far Cry 4 in roughly 15 minutes, saving the beautiful nation of Kyrat a whole lot of fire, explosions, and death in the process.

In 2022, he took charge of WhoCulture and has grown it into the biggest Doctor Who channel on YouTube, and one of the biggest Doctor Who communities on the web full-stop. He has been writing and video editing since his early teens, and first got a taste for content creation after making his own Doctor Who trailers, off the back of a burning obsession with the Matt Smith era of the show. Like many his age, he first got into Doctor Who with the 2005 revival, but has since gone back and fallen in love with the classic years too. If you need someone to recite every Doctor Who episode in order, or to give you a random factoid about the making of Gridlock, Danny is the person to ask!
