1. Giganotosaurus Makes An Entrance - Dino Crisis 2
The much overlooked, but still much beloved dinosaur-centric franchise might have all been but forgotten by Capcom as of late, but for a while, Dino Crisis was as highly revered as even the mighty Resident Evil titles thanks to its high octane action and brilliant use of jump scares.
Across the original title, Regina is utterly hounded by a monstrous T-Rex who seems to have taken some personal umbrage with our hero, actively going out of its way to try and turn her into a toothpick. Therefore when the player encounters another large lad in the sequel, it's a moment of pure terror and excitement as the player braces themselves for a true fight.
Yet it's one that gets completely upended by the arrival of the Gigantosoaurus, who smashes through a nearby wall and absolutely beats the piss out of this former end game boss! It's a rather jarring scene as on the one hand at least you don't have to face off against this large lizard, but on the other, you now have to fight this roided up rex ripper!
Horray! But also....RUN!
