8 Video Game Endings That Cost You EVERYTHING
7. Oddworld: Abe's Oddysee
By default, Oddworld: Abe's Oddysee only offers players a measly three grenades on Normal difficulty, but by beating the game with certain conditions, you'll be able to unlock unlimited grenades for your next playthrough. Sounds grand, right?
But the price requires some serious douchebaggery on your part - you'll need to go through the entire game without lifting a finger to help rescue any of your fellow imprisoned Mudokons.
Worse still, you need to make sure all the Mudokons are dead before you reach the end of the game.
This will trigger the bad ending which is typically unlocked by rescuing less than 50 Mudokons, but will be followed up by a personal message from the game's villain, Molluck the Glukkon.
Molluck congratulates you for "whacking all those Mudokons," calls you a "twisted creep," and then offers you infinite grenades for your next playthrough. Infinite grenades? Awesome. Murdering all your fellow prisoner slaves to get them? A heavy burden for the soul.
