8 Video Game ‘Final Instalments’ That Shouldn't Actually Be The Last

3. Batman: Arkham Knight

Marketed as the final game to Rocksteady's rousing Arkham franchise, Arkham Knight has supposedly been touted as the release that will mark the studio's departure, but all is not as it may seem. Batman: Arkham is one of the most bankable and critically well received games series to have emerged over the course of the past decade, and though there is a chance the London-based developers could very well be leaving the series, it would appear even they aren't sure if they want to, having left an ambiguous message at the end of their last 'Arkham Insider' video. https://youtu.be/bSejUvS9m1w?t=505 Either way, chances are high that Warner Bros. aren't going to let this wee financial success stop anytime soon, with their Montreal studio already appearing to be gearing up for another turn under the cowl as we speak. My own inner-cynic would dictate that this isn't something to get excited about, but given just how much fun Montreal's last efforts were with the character, along with the fact that Batman himself has such a vast amount of source-material to work with, I'm happy we'll be seeing more of the Caped Crusader in the near future.
