8 Video Game NPCs You Would Die To Protect

Psychonauts is a game so chock full of colorful characters that it's almost overwhelming when you try and sift through all of them. From the bacon obsessed Ford Cruller to the brilliantly composed Sasha Nein, and all of the misfit kids that make up the summer camp experience, you could spend hours roaming around the world seeing what each was up to at any given point.

However, there is one lad who is the absolute king of the camp and that's Dogen, the shy kid in a tin foil hat who becomes one of Raz's best friends over the course of this brain-bending and brain-stealing adventure. As with every character in this twisted title, on paper, he's actually terrifying, what with his inability to control his psychic powers which cause people's heads to explode (hence the tinfoil hat), but he's so utterly adorable and mild-mannered you can't help but look past this.

What makes his personal tale even sweeter is that his parents have promised him that if he can make it through camp without killing anyone that he can have a pet. Better not tell them about the squirrels you exploded right?
