8 Video Games With Playable Cut Content

7. Ultimate Mortal Kombat 3

One of the most blatantly lazy, self-plagiarising characters NetherRealm's ever created, what Chameleon lacks in originality, he more than makes up for with a memorable origin story.

NetherRealm, then Midway Games, had originally planned to debut Reptile's bastard cousin in Ultimate Mortal Kombat 3, and like all of the series' fan favourites up to that point, the shapeshifting lizard was going to take on the disguise of a ninja, i.e. a palette swap of Scorpion, Sub-Zero, etc.

Whether because of time constraints, budget squeeze or, the realization that another gimmicky ninja clone was the last thing MK needed more of, Chameleon was cut prior to launch, though a few vestiges - proof of his existence - still linger.

Not that you'd want to - this early incarnation of the character has no combos or unique attacks of his own and adopts Scorpion's likeness as a placeholder - but Chameleon's 'playable' through the use of a cheat engine.

Just don't expect to win.
