9 Anticipated Video Games You Won't See Again Until E3 2019

3. The Last of Us Part II

Another Sony conference game with no information regarding a release date, The Last of Us Part II is even more heartbreaking given its prominence in the conference.

The conference began with attendees sitting in a room decorated as a barn, whereupon they were shown a trailer for the game set in a similar looking barn. After the trailer the audience was herded into the main auditorium - it's clear that Sony went to a lot of trouble to set the scene just right for the trailer.

Yet between the story hints and gameplay shown, there was no clue as to when the game would be released - a notable absence given how anticipated the game is, and Sony's noted announcement of the release date of another of their big games.

This likely means we can't expect the game too soon, a sad thing to realise since it was arguably the most anticipated game from Sony this year. It'd be nice to be surprised by a holiday release, but realistically we'll get all the information we need at next year's E3.

I'm based in the UK, looking to make a career out of writing about entertainment and culture. The only thing I like as much as watching films, playing games or listening to music is enjoying as much hummus and crisps as I can while I do so. My favourite film is Eddie the Eagle and I like any game that lets me wander around beautiful worlds (or eat hummus and crisps).
