9 Most Discussed Video Game Plot Holes That Will Never Be Answered

8. Jack Marston Growing Into A Badass In Three Years

Red Dead Redemption has one of the most memorable endings ever, with hero John Marston being gunned down on his own land by the Sheriff's posse who hired him at the start of the game.

But that's not technically the end of Rockstar's Wild West tale, as the title continues after this 'final' scene. Picking up later as an older version of John's son, Jack, the real final mission has players tracking down the people responsible for his father's death to enact some sweet, sweet revenge.

The problem is that it's never explained how Jack transformed from a sheltered kid into a revolver-wielding badass in the space of merely three years.

Likewise, although Rockstar obviously didn't want to leave players without the ability to continue exploring their open world, it doesn't make sense to have Jack suddenly follow in his father's footsteps and become a bloodthirsty killer. The entire point of the game was about John getting away from that life, so it doesn't ring true when his son makes the same mistakes.
