We’re stretching the definition of boss battle for this one but The Sword Master of Melee Island certainly sounds like a name worthy of a boss and you need to fight your way up to her so I’m going to go ahead and allow it.

Also there’s nobody to stop me, so let’s talk insult sword fighting.

A staple of the Monkey Island games, insult sword fighting can be found in three of its titles but it kicks off in The Secret of Monkey Island where Guybrush must best Sword Master Carla in a battle of words, and swords. You’ll engage in insults and witticisms that you’ll attempt to volley off whatever insult you received prior. For example Carla will say “You’re a pain in the backside, sir”, to which you reply “Your haemorrhoids are flaring up again, huh?”

It’s a battle of wits, grace, and pointy swords. Also pretty darn unique if we do say so ourselves.
