9 Nintendo Switch Exclusives That Could Be Announced At E3
1. Super Smash Bros. Switch
All the big players at this year's E3 are, more than ever, going to be fighting tooth and nail for the lion's share of audience attention, not least Nintendo, which will want to cement consumer confidence in its newly-christened hardware as quickly and efficiently as possible.
The Switch is still in its infancy, and while it's off to a good (but not great) start, the announcement of a Super Smash Bros. sequel could work wonders in boosting enthusiasm levels for the hybrid console just as it begins to taper off following the conclusion of Breath of the Wild's honeymoon period.
Sure, there's the Switch exclusive brawler ARMS inbound in the near future, but nobody, not even Nintendo, expects a brand new IP such as that to sell anywhere near the same number of units as the Smash series.
So, given the current situation, is Smash Bros. Switch a likely prospect? It could happen, but considering the relative newness of the Wii U iteration, as well as current rumors that suggest past entries are headed to Switch with new content, it's probably best to start looking ahead to 2018 as a more likely window.
