9 Reasons Why Automatron Will Make You Love Fallout 4 All Over Again

7. It Takes You To Locations You Might Have Missed In The Base Game

Unlike the upcoming Far Harbour expansion, Automatron takes place within the familiar ruins of downtown Boston, which initially seemed like a missed opportunity to add new areas into the game. It's not a complete swing-and-a-miss though, as the DLC actually opens up the map of the original game quite a bit, taking you to areas you might not have otherwise travelled to.

While much of the expansion has you going into newly created dungeons, there's a few points where you have to gather a certain amount of resources (for the robot building feature) before you can progress in the main story. Although initially an annoying roadblock, these missions give you a chance to look at areas you might have visited before in a new light, as previously unassuming buildings become gold-mines for vital loot that you would have happily overlooked before this DLC hit.

I thought I had seen most of the notable locations Fallout 4 had to offer, yet Automatron takes you to places that are right next door to undiscovered areas you might have otherwise missed.
