9 Reasons You Shouldn't Buy A PS4 Pro

4. 4K Blu-ray Discs Aren't Supported

Out of all of the decisions in designing the PS4 Pro, this one has to be one of the lamest choices Sony could have made.

Sony's own proprietary video disc, Blu-ray, was one of the selling points of the PS3, and thanks to that, has absolutely supplanted DVD as the way to buy a physical movie.

You could make a point that streaming and digital downloads have since supplanted Blu-ray, but supporting an Ultra HD Blu-ray is something you could expect the PS4 Pro to do with ease, since it can play Netflix and digital 4k films from the Playstation Store just as easily.

Which makes it all the more painful to realize that, no, the PS4 Pro doesn't actually support UHD Blu-ray discs.

What the hell? Even the Xbox One S, the Xbox One upgrade with no 4K gaming support whatsoever, still supports UHD Blu-ray discs, and they don't even manufacture the damn discs, unlike Sony themselves.
