When you’re dealing with Handsome Jack, you’re pretty much damned if you do and damned if you don’t. A Jack bounty statue on Eridium Blight gives you a mission with a pretty simple premise. He wants you to travel to Lover’s Leap and jump off the platform. It’s safe to assume that doing so will cause your character to die, although no one ever really ‘dies’ in Borderlands, instead simply paying a reconstruction fee and popping back into existence relatively unscathed.

On one hand, if we decide not to submit to peer pressure and the allure of riches, we get nothing, and are called a coward. On the other hand, if you decide to jump off the cliff then yes, we get paid, we sold out, got told to jump off a bridge, and actually did it, and we are now Jack’s b*tch. Great.
