A good game should challenge you, either in your reactions, your intelligence, or your patience, because overcoming these challenges is the most rewarding thing about gaming. If a game is too easy, then it becomes boring and you eventually just give up with it, leaving it to gather dust on a shelf, long forgotten and never touched again.

Occasionally a game will come along that will stretch you to the absolute breaking point, induce the worst rage and make you feel like an absolute fool in the process. Yes, Valve's seminal first person puzzle game is one of those rare gaming experiences that will break your mind into tiny little pieces and leave you completely breathless as you overcome one of the hardest test chambers you think you'll ever encounter, only to find an even harder one is waiting for you in the next room.

One of the best things about Portal 2 however, is its balance of challenge versus reward. You can spend hours working on a single test chamber and when you do eventually crack the puzzle and realise what you had to do, you will be treated to a dose of some of the funniest dialogue to ever be put into a game.
