It looks like Fight Forever will offer AEW fans the chance to play as around 50 wrestlers, or therein thereabouts. That, sadly, means there will be some notable omissions from the on-disc roster. Maybe this is what Omega really meant when he said AEW's game couldn't compete with 2K.

WWE 2K22 has approx 200 characters when taking extras like DLC and model variants into consideration. Also, gamers can add even more via Community Creations, which bumps the roster count up significantly and makes playing as workers from other promotions easy.

Fight Forever probably won't have that feature, and it won't be able to match 2K's title in terms of sheer numbers. 50 wrestlers could work if the bigger stars (male and female) are in there, but the smaller figure does imply that Yuke's will aim to monetize anything above and beyond what they can squeeze onto the disc.
