AEW Fight Forever Game: 10 Reasons To Be Worried

3. Those Character Models

Time to talk characters.

The earlier bloated models for Kenny Omega and Chris Jericho were forgivable because AEW made it clear that they were prototypes. They just wanted to show something off, and that's fine. However, the models for other workers like Jungle Boy, Nyla Rose, Hikaru Shida and more haven't come on leaps and bounds.

They're not outright bad, but they're definitely a little more cartoonish than 2K's efforts in the recent WWE 2K22. Shoulders are boulder-esque on most wrestlers, and hair looks like something Yuke's are still having issues with all these years on; for proof of that, check out Kris Statlander's model close up in the next entry.

What was that about Yuke's needing to do some polishing up on this game overall? Yeah, they should probably start with the characters themselves. They'll need to be a little less waxy and a bit more hi-res if they're going to jive with what players expect to see on modern hardware.
