4. The Axe Cuts Down Trees (And That's Bad)

It might be tempting to temper your flimsy/stone axe into its much more robust cousin at the first chance of asking, but hold your horses there, Michael Myers! Resources on the island are scant at first, though they do regenerate - unless you've chopped down all your trees in an hatchet-wielding frenzy, that is.

Though the flimsy and stone axes will carve out timber without any permanent ecological damage, the axe proper fells trees after three strokes. You'll be left with a stump which, though attractive to unique bugs and a lovely impromptu chair, won't flourish apples any time soon. So cut down on cutting down!
