Assassin's Creed Origins: 11 Early Reactions You Need To Know

1. For Better Or Worse, It's "More Assassin's Creed"

By the sounds of things, despite taking a year off and improving on the core foundation of the franchise, Assassin's Creed: Origins is just more of the same old Assassin's Creed players are used to.

That might not be a bad thing depending on how you look at it - and the game does appear to be one of the better entries in the series - but if you're expecting a huge shakeup, you're not going to find it here.

It's a bit of a shame that Ubisoft weren't able to fundamentally change the series or offer something completely new, and it seems as though they've been content to refine what worked for them before while taking inspiration from other franchises in their stable.

This is a Ubisoft game through and through, and if that's what you like, then Origins is probably a worthwhile purchase, but if it's not, then you can probably skip out on picking the title up, at least for now.
